Hi there,
I recently bought an Intel NUC DE3815TYKHE, hoping to set it up with Gentoo Linux. It's been a while since I used Gentoo, but its setup process seem to be as it used to be.
My issue is that USB devices are not available after booting (stock gentoo kernel). This is a showstopper, as the boot media is an USB stick, and the USB keyboard doesn't work.
I found a post online saying this could be because of «Legacy USB support» in the BIOS, which seemed plausible, so I disabled it. Now the keyboard won't work during boot and it does not detect the USB stick (so it can't load the installer).
I updated the BIOS to the latest version, as the changelog said it fixed something USB-related, but this did not resolve my issues. Anyone had a similar issue? I would love some pointers. Open to trying to a different distribution (Debian springs to mind).
