Intel NUC i3 and Centrino Wireless-N 1030

I can't get the Centrino Wireless-N 1030 started on my NUC i3; it keeps returning a Code 10 (non-specific) error in the Device Manager.  After spending a few hours on this, I'm starting to wonder whether this wireless unit is in fact compatible with the NUC i3.  It should be as it's sold as a kit on e.g. Amazon Japan (half way down the page): Amazon.co.jp： Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 802.11b/g/n 300Mbps + BlueTooth 3.0+HS: パソコン・周辺機器
