I'm looking to run this NUC headless. All my attempts at booting without an HDMI display connected have failed so far. Here's what I've done to debug the precise issue:
1) Enabled startup sound in Visual BIOS
2) Update boot timestamp in EFI Shell's startup.nsh
3) Set up a UEFI bootloader, so can boot without using EFI shell. Additionally, configured it to play a tune when it loads.
From my repeated, comprehensive tests, I can say that any boot option, be it EFI Shell or custom bootloader on eMMC or USB drive isn't loaded by the unit if no video connections are present at boot.
Is this designed so? If yes, is there a way to disable this design decision? If no, how do I fix this?
Thanks,
