I thought I had memory SKU sorted when I emailed Crucial on 29 September to ask for the Crucial partno. of 2x4GB DDR3L compatible with the new Haswell (Intel D54250WYK) NUC.  Reply from their James Anderson was CT2KIT51264BF160B will be perfect.  So I ordered the part.  When posting yesterday, by chance I read someones then newest post on 'memory issues', since disappeared, but I remember it linked to Kent-M 'Memory issue D54250WYK on 19 Nov. stating Crucial advised him "The Intel D54250WYK will accept high density 4GB modules only and this is why you are experiencing instability." i.e. to use the CT2KIT51264BF160BJ - note the 'J' which is the 8 chip per module part launched at start of 2013, and that the older CT2KIT51264BF160B 16 chip per module part launched way back in 2011 is NOT compatible.  Having now established the vintage of each part, it did seem surprising Crucial recommended a 2 years older, and with double the chips, presumably a more heat producing part, so I emailed Crucial again why this opposing advice, asking they exchange the unopened 'B' type for the current BJ.  As no reply by late today I phoned Crucial and their 'Wessam' claimed the D54250WYK does not need a BJ as the 'B' is good enough.   Can Intel give the definitive answer to this ?
