Hello all.
I currently run a tower PC running Windows Vista, which is currently getting on in years. Time is coming around to replacing it, and I have eyes set in replacing it with a NUC.
Having browsed sites like Amazon, I feel I have come up with a build spec list that should serve me for the forseeable future; however I would like some advice as to if my chosen specification will play nice with each other, before I go all in with no forethought.
The preliminary parts list is as follows:
Box: Intel NUC D54250WYKH
Hard drive 1: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB mSATA SSD / MZ-MTE1T0BW 840 EVO
Hard drive 2: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5-inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive / MZ-7TE1T0BW 840 EVO
Wi-Fi card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 - Network adapter - PCI Express Half Mini Card - 802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE(7260.HMWWB)
RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s CL11 SODIMM 204 Pin 1.35V/1.5V Memory Module / CT102464BF160B x2
Monitor:PHILIPS 227E4LHAB Full HD 21.5" LED Monitor (I believe an HDMI to mini-HDMI cable will also be needed)
Keyboard & Mouse: USB items to be sourced at local PC compnents retailer.
And that's it so far.
My main concerns are:
- Will both hard drives physically fit inside the NUC box 'at the same time'?
- If no, what replacements should be used instead?
- If yes, will all the listed components play nice and properly 'talk' to each other upon installation?
Any advice / queries / suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
