I have NUC with 47 bios from the box. I successfully install ubuntu from a usb stick and so on. After that I upraded bios to the latest version 54, and ubuntu did not boot. I played with bios optios but they did not help. Only downgrade bios return ubuntu to a working state. I saw a differences between 47 and 54 bios at F7 bios update, it shows me my SDD 1st efi partition, it contains the EFI dir. 47 shows <EFI>, but 54 show <EF>, this symptoms bring 54 to unable boot state, probably, cause bios did not see efi directory with boot files.
