This beta driver addresses issues with Intel® NUC products with the 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors use Intel® HD graphics initially targeted for mobile devices such as Ultrabooks™. These Intel® NUC models cannot be accessed remotely when they are booted up without a monitor attached, also known as "headless" mode. Certain remote client software showed a black screen. This issue has been seen with the following remote access software: TightVNC* RealVNC* UltraVNC* Teamviewer* This was initially reported when using VNC remote applications; a driver update was released in June, 2014 to resolve the issue with those applications. An additional beta driver update has been released that is intended for Teamviewer remote access software. This beta driver is expected to be released to production in January, 2015.
