So strange issue... I have two HD TVs I used one of them to set up the NUC and test it for two days with no issue. I then moved the NUC to another TV, same brand and I am was not able to get any video output, sometimes.... So after checking everything I moved it back to the TV that it was working on for two days and it would not work there ether.
So I:
- Reset BIOS
- Cleared CMOS
- Changed inputs
- reset TV to factory defaults
- Tested original HDMI port, did not work
- Turned the NUC off
- Changed to different HDMI port
- Turned the NUC ON
- Boom we have video output
So with that I said ok, must be a HDMI handshake getting stuck in the TV some how. So i did the same thing on my main TV:
- reset TV to factory defaults
- Tested original HDMI port, did not work
- Turned the NUC off
- Changed to different HDMI port
- Turned the NUC ON
- Video works!!
The NUC worked fine all night watching Live TV and movies on it (about 5 hours) When we went to bed I turned off the TV but left the NUC on for testing. This morning I was unable to get any output from the NUC again, and I mean No POST screen Nothing. But can RDP to my NUC and change settings and what not, so I know the hardware is working, but none of the video output is working. I dont really want to reset my TV and move HDMI Ports every time I turn my TV off...
System:
Was running Windows 8.1 when issue happened
I am now running Windows 7 SP1 and the issue is still happening
BIOS = 0033
Video output in BIOS is set to HDMI
All Drivers are latest from Intel website
I have a wireless keyboard
I am using wired Ethernet
one HDMI to HDMI mini cord
Both TVs are the same model Vizio just different size
Its not a RAM issue since I can RDP into the box with no issues. I am looking for some more tips on what to try next.
Thanks
