I am using XBMC (Frodo) with Windows 7 SP1 (x64). I have the settings in XBMC set to 5.1 via Optical. Sound output only comes in the front channels (stereo).

When I go to the windows speaker configuration, it says it only has support for Stereo.

I have it hooked up as follows:

Intel NUC -----HDMICABLE-----> Samsung TV
      \______-----HDMICABLE--->HDMI Audio Extractor----Optical Cable---->Vizio Sound Bar

When playing the Dolby Digital channel test, I can verify that audio only comes out of the stereo channels: http://download.dolby.com/Content_Download/ChannelCheck.m2ts

As of today, I have the latest BIOS and all Intel Drivers. I'm at a loss as to why I can only use two channels. Any help would be appreciated.
