I bought another one of these 2 weeks ago from Amazon to use as a audio player because the previous ones worked great. This one had significant static noise on the audio out - digital noise - increased whenever the disc ran or mouse moved or video changed. After trying various alternative (disk swap, re-grounding, new audio cables) I found the article at thread/54903 and swapped out the power adapter. The noise stopped immediately and completely - with the original disk and cables. I believe that Intel may have a bad batch of FSP Group power adapters (P/N 9NA0652101, mine is SN 82231019345423016D1PB12). If you have this problem try swapping the power adapter.
