Dear all,
I will get an intel NUC 5i5RYH soon, which I am going to use as an HTPC at our living room. I do have a Panasonic Viera TV 'TX-L42V20E' with its TV remote control, model N2QAYB000504. Considering the software 'EventGhost' to steer this intel NUC, especially the media center software 'Kodi' (formerly known as XBMC), I am interested in the inbuilt Novoton CIR infrared receiver capabilities.
Does this NUC infrared receiver most probably "understand" the IR signals from the Panasonic TV remote control mentioned above?
Thus, can the HTPC 'learn' these IR codes, utilizing the software 'EventGhost'? Or maybe 'WinLirc'? I will install Windows 8.1 Pro 64.
I already 'googled' a lot, and asked Panasonic, whether this TV remote control sends its IR signals based on the protocol RC-6. But they were not able to provide me with this piece of information. Many thanks in advance for your answers.
Kind regards,
Jo Peters
