NUC5i3RYH - 1-2 FPS with Win 8.1 Netflix Metro App, USB Soundcard and 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus

Hi,

I seem to be having this very frustrating problem that was already discussed here before with other NUC models

D34010WYK + USB SoundCard + Netflix Win 8 App + 5.1 Sound = No go

I am using this

to feed audio via TOSLINK to my YAS-103 soundbar. When switching from stereo to DD+ 5.1 audio, FPS go down to 1-2 stuttering.

I updated to the latest drivers/bios available  for Win 8.1 64 Bit right now (Graphics/Audio, Management Engine), tried disabling legacy boot and other fixes I read about here. No success. I crosschecked the setup with an old Zotac Zbox running the same OS version and soundcard drivers - no problem.
