HDMI port loose, Mini Display port does not work

Intel NUC 5i5RYH

Ubuntu 14.04

I use the mini HDMI port to connect my monitor. The HDMI cable is brand new and works on other devices. The slightest wiggle of the HDMI cable causes my monitor to lose signal.

As an alternative I tried the Mini-Display port. It did not work at all.

Is this something I can repair at home (a loose connection inside the NUC) or do I need to return the NUC under warranty?
