NUC5CPYH: CIR stops working after sleep

Hi all,

I have a NUC5CPYH with Windows 10 installed, and have a problem with the integrated remote receiver: When I wake the NUC from sleep (S3), the infrared receiver is not working anymore. Looking at the Windows device manager, the "ITECIR Infrared Receiver (SIO2)" (and the corresponding eHome devices) are gone. When I show hidden devices, Windows displays a grayed out device, with status "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)".

Other than that, the box works perfectly. I can power up the device via the remote and use the remote, I can even wake it with the remote, however, after it woke the remote does not work anymore. I have to completely power down the device to get the remote working again.

I contacted Intel Support and they suggested replacing the device. As I used the Windows 10 free upgrade, I am not keen on replacing the box (and losing my license), so I would like to know whether the box is broken, or whether it makes sense to wait for a Bios or driver update.

Has anybody observed the same behavior? Or can anybody confirm that the CIR device does work after sleep?

BOXNUC5CPYH

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Bios 0040, latest drivers.

Thanks,

Marius
