I have the following setup:
- Samsung LN46a850 TV
- Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH (Windows 10 x64)
- BIOS: 0350
- Video Drivers: 15.40.10.4300 (Intel Graphics Control Panel indicates version 20.19.15.4300)
Issue:
When changing input sources on the TV and then coming back to the NUC's HDMI source, a black screen appears and at times will have the "white snow" effect displayed on the TV. This problem is intermittent.
The only way to regain a signal are the following options:
- Reboot the NUC
- Turn off and then turn on the TV
- Unplug and then replug the HDMI cable
I've read through a few forum posts and it seems some other NUC models are suffering from the same HDMI sync/handshake problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, perhaps a revised driver or BIOS is required?
