I try to setup HDMI sound on my DN2820 with various linux distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora) without success. HDMI video works good as well as other stuff but sound works only using jack connection for speakers. I have looked for a solution over the web but I didn't find an answer for this issue.
I have installed the latest bios update (v28) and I'm using the debian testing distribution (kernel 3.12). I'm using KDE tools to configure sound system and HDMI output is selected for PulseAudio but it seems to need more tweaks to work.
Is there a workaround to enable HDMI sound output ?
