Hi
We're having relatable problems with connections to the Yellow/Power USB3, that are not true for the "normal" USB3.
Is it possible to set the "yellow" to work like a "normal" USB3 port through the Blue port
The answer is not simply "use the blue port" for our application.
Thanks
Gunleik
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy more than 50 NUCs with SCCM.
A lot of NUCS are succesfully deployed but a few others aren't.
An error occurs during the last step of the sequence: Enable Bitlocker.
2150694914: The BIOS did not correctly communicate with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). Contact the computer manufacturer for BIOS upgrade instructions.
Manually:
When i try to enable Bitlocker manually from Windows, the following error is shown: The BIOS did not correctly communicate with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
unreliable Workaround:
The problem goes (not always) away after disabling and enabling UEFI BOOT and SECURE BOOT, followed by Clear Secure Boot Data.
Its possible that the NUCs were previously deployed with bitlocker, but i can't verify this.
How can i prevent this error in the future, and upcoming deployments?
Thanks in advance,
Jerome
i've just bought a 32gb opthane memory card, for too be used on my new nuc. My nuc model is "NUC7i7BNB and i updated to latest bios version which is "BNKBL357.86A.0062.2018.0222.1644" a im using it with a 200gb sata drive.
the only problem is that it boots window 10 only if the chipset SATA option is set to AHCI, if i set to Intel Optane it looks for other media but doesn't see my hard drive nor boots to windows.
With this problem i can't neither install the optane memory software, as when i try to do this i get error. "Bios configuration not supported, and not compatible with optane memory"
my bios is for AHCI, to boot into Windows. its installed all drivers recommended by intel. really dissapointing that intel do not provide an easy way for this to be installed onto their own mini pcs.
Hi,
Back in May last year I posted about a handshake issue between my Intel NUC7i3BNH and Samsung UA65KS8000 TV. It seems I am one of many people that have experienced handshake issues between a NUC and a Samsung TV.
After repeated communications with Intel (which included friendly and promising replies) there was no fix and I ended up giving up. Do you have a fix yet? Are you trying to fix? Do you care?
NUC (great product) + Bad Handshake = Unhappy NUC + Intel Not Fixing Unhappy NUC = Unhappy Customer
Genuinely hoping you have a fix.

With NUC7i5BNH can I safely and in continuous mode, connect an external HD "TOSHIBA MQ01ABC150 1500, 3GB" to the USB 3.1 type C port?
Any damage to this HD will be very critic for me, because it contain all my backups.
To be clear, this is not an external RAID
Many thanks, best regards
Augusto
We purchased an Intel NUC7i5BNK to connect to an 80" interactive touch display for use in the classroom. From the initial set up, we have had an issue where there have been multiple green pixels showing up on the display (more so on the lock screen after initial boot).I have tried different display drivers, with no luck.I tried connecting the NUC to a 1080p monitor but did not notice the pixel issue. I have tried a different computer connect to the 80" touchscreen, but it did not have the pixel issue. If I uninstall the Intel display driver and leave the NUC running the Microsoft generic driver, there are no green pixels. This leads me to the conclusion that it is likely a display driver issue.I have tried about 2 other drivers, with the same result:
OS: Windows 10 Education, 64bit version 1709
Display: 3840x2160@60Hz via HDMI
Any other suggestions?
I cannot find anywhere the idle and max noise in decibels of the new NUC8i7HVK or NUC8i7HNK. Can anybody guide me where to get this data? Tx.
Hello all,
is someone informed about, if the new Gemini Lake NUC NUC7PJYH with Pentium J5005 support Audio HD passthrough and HDR?
I want to buy a new Media Mini PC with native HDMI 2.0 and without DP converter chip, as it is in the i7/i5/i3 NUCs.
Greetings

Hi,
I did an update from 358 to 369 with the RYBDWi35.86A.0369.EB.EXE on my NUC5i3RYH (Kit).
Biosupdate was running.
After this on screen only Intel NUC is to be seen.
This remains for about 30 seconds. Then the NUC switches off.
Two seconds later it starts again. And so on ...
I tried with RY0358.bio at a USB-stick to recover.
But no results.
Any idea how to reactivate NUC ?
Thanks !
Hi,
I have bought
together with one memory module
and
Assembled together, connected mouse, keyboard and monitor through HDMI.
Power switch turn yellow color. When switched on, it turns solid blue, no blinking.
Keyboard is not reacting, no led diodes on, nor blinking.
Mouse is not reacting, no red light from optical mouse.
Monitor stays black. No signal from HDMI, tried two monitors.
Tried also another 4GB memory module with the same specs. Nothing happened.
Then returned the NUC unit and ordered a new one. Problem remains even with the new one. I don't know if I had two defective units?
It should not be memory problem since then the power button shall be blinking, see Troubleshooting No Boot or No Power Issues on Intel® NUC Products
When trying clear CMOS, see Clearing CMOS on Intel® NUC nothing happen.
When holding power button for 3 seconds, see BIOS Recovery Update Instructions for Intel® NUC , nothing happen.
Still no monitor signal, no keyboard diodes, no optical mouse light.
But I can charge my mobile phone through the USB ports!
I am suspicious if the units was not tested on Windows system and fastboot option were enabled. Now without any OS I can not boot.
According to Can't Access BIOS Setup with F2 Key for Intel® NUC Kits and Intel®...
Fast Boot enabled
Fast Boot is a feature in BIOS that reduces computer boot time. If it's enabled, you cannot press F2 to enter BIOS Setup, since USB mice and keyboards are unavailable until after the operating system loads.
But I would like install Linux to that unit. I have read how to disable fast boot according to Using Fast Boot in Intel® Visual BIOS 2.x and Using Fast Boot in Intel® Visual BIOS 1.x But both assume that keyboard is reacting and that something appears on the monitor, which is not the case.
Thank you for any suggestions,
Vojtech.
Does anyone know if there is software, or a command line switch to enable and disable HDR in Windows 10?
Power DVD can do it, so there must be a programmatic way... I'm looking for a quick way to enable HDR before watching Netflix or Hulu, then a quick way to disable it when I'm done.
I know it's easy to go into display properties, turn it on, click Keep Settings, then close the window. Could be much faster with a single click. :-)
Hi !
IDSA told me there are 3 updates available for my Nuc.
I downloaded and installed the 3 updates.
Everything seemed/seems to be OK.
I restarted the computer
But I still have the message that there are 3 updates available...
Hi there.
I've come across an annoying issue where the HDMI video is fine but the audio doesn't seem to work on a Samsung UN32EH5300 when paired with a NUC7i3BNH. The audio on the TV has worked fine with both a PS3 and a PS4 as well as an older NUC, the D34010WYKH.
Swapping for a different brand of cable did nothing however switching to different TVs (Samsung HPT5064X/XAC and Sony KDL-37XBR6) did show the audio from the NUC7i3BNH working fine on them.
OS: Ubuntu Mate 16.10
Bios: bnkbl357.86a.0036.2017.0105.1112
I assume this is a bios issue but was wondering if there's anything else I can try.

Hello everyone!
I wanted to know if this nuc has native HDMI 2.0a port or if mounting the lspcon chip with displayport.
Thank you
Our NUC7CJYH (Celeron J4005 UHD 600) goes BSOD when using Intel graphics drivers. Interestingly even the bios screen has artifacts.
Has anyone else run into this problem?

Intel driver and support assistant shows me that i have installed version 17.2.71.2 and the newer version is 17.2.71.250. Well, after downloading the update (TBT_WIN10_64_17.2.71.250), installing it and rebooting the box the driver and support assistant is still showing me that i have installed Version 17.2.71.2 and an update is available. I have installed Version 3.2.0.9 of the Intel driver and support assistant.
Dear Support,
Last week I discovered that my NUC7i5BNH did not discover my Samsung 960 EVO M2 SSD when it was installed as the only SSD.
I was using the latest BIOS 060 and also tried BIOS 057.
The M2 settings in BIOS kept showing "Not populated".
Only after temporary installing a Sata SSD, the M2 SSD was showing up and was useable.
After this, I did remove the Sata SSD and the M2 SSD was still seen.
Is this a bug?
Kind Regards,
Marco
