Device NUC6CAYH made 04.05.2017. BIOS 29. Licensed MS DOEM necessary in BIOS (table MSDM) to record the activation key. Use the utility ITK6.EFI - the table is created, the key is written, itk6 shows that everything is OK. The final step, Windows should send proof to the cloud utility OA3TOOL. So oa3tool utility does not find key in table MSDN if all operations are performed on devices with the new BIOS is newer than the version 29. Version 29 all passes, with the newer BIOS table is not created correctly (tried version 45, then 47). Exactly the same thing is happening with devices NUC5CAYx. The support gave nothing, the second month of silent, the only sent me a VB script to see the key in the registry Windows. The problem is not solved until now. To focus on the old BIOS is not suitable, tomorrow may come the device with a new BIOS and then I can't use DOEM activation.
After updating the BIOS incorrectly creates a table MSDM utility ITK6.efi

I would like to integrate this computer on a UAV and I cannot find the weight. Does someone know where to find it? It would be nice also to know the weight without the case.

Frequent screen blanking with Intel Graphics driver on Win10-1803
I have seen several topics about people experiencing different forms of the screen blanking to black with NUCs. One of them with the NUC6CAYH, which was solved with v.45 of the BIOS.
It now also manifests after installing the latest Intel Graphics driver v.15.65.4.4944 with Windows 10 v.1803 on a NUC6CAYH with all the latest drivers and the latest BIOS v.49. Pretty frequently the screen blanks for about 1.5 seconds. Downgrading the BIOS to v.48 or v.47 has no effect. Uninstalling the Intel driver and reverting to the Microsoft Driver removes the screen blanking again. Version 45 of the BIOS is not available for downloading anymore but of course the problem shouldn't have been re-introduced in later versions. For the purpose of elimination I had wanted to test that version.
For the moment it would appear this might be caused by the recent v.1803 of Windows 10 for which the BIOS fix may not work anymore. I believe I experienced it shortly too with Win10-1709 which was then solved by upgrading the BIOS to the then latest v.47 but with the latest Windows 10 version it seems to be back.

NUC6i7KYK with ESXi 6.5 VM network Access
I have a NUC6i7KYK running ESXi 6.5 with vmnic 100Mb and a vusb 1000MB. I have vSwitch0 with the VMkernal ports (1) on vmnic0 and vSwitch1 with 3 windows 2012 R2 servers.
The vSwitch1 shows all 3 VM's connected to vusb0 1000 Auto negotiate but only one windows server has a network connection. I have tried different setting as well as moving the a VM to the vSwitcho and still have the same issue.
It seems that the first VM that powers up gets a connection but not the next one. I have VMware tools installed and have tried changing the network adapter to VMXNET 3 with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

NUC7i7DNHE - video playback stutters at 1080P or 2160P. Windows 10/Graphics software up to date.
Good evening. I have purchased/installed the new NUC7i7DNHE w/16 GB Crucial Ram PC4-19200 and 1TB Crucial SSD and OS Windows 10. The Windows software is up to date.
The video display Intel UHD 620 has driver version 24.20.100.6025. The internet connection tests at a solid 59-60 MBbit/s as well.
Resolutions tested include 1920 x 1080 and 3840 x 2160 at 60 hz. Software tested include YouTube TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. Google Chrome web browser is being used.
Please let me know where to dive in from here to get this new equipment working smoothly. The image is crisp/sharp, but is not smooth with stutters. The stuttering is more pronounced when the camera pans.
The same videos will play back smoothly if we take the NUC PC out of the equation.
For example, if my Smart TV streams the software directly, the playback is smooth. Display used is a LG 65" OLED.
thank you.
NUC7i3DNKE: How to control the LED by software?
On NUC7i3BNH we have successfully controlled the LEDs by our own software.
The API is documented in
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023426/mini-pcs/intel-nuc-kits.html
Now we've got a NUC7i3DNKE. I has only 1 LED, but according to the
BIOS it is still controllable by software. However, it appears the
API must have changed. The old code does not work any more. Where is
the documentation for the new API?
NUC7ixBN Screen Flashing (screen turns on and off) when using 4K resolutions

Intel NUC6i7KYB bios will not update
Hello -- I have Modula Skull Canyon (NUC6i7KYB) running Windows 10 version 1511 (out of date, I know, but this is a problem for a different forum and a reason I found out the BIOS weren't updating). My current BIOS version reads as #0037 (KYSKLi70.86A.0037.2016.0603.1032) in both the Windows command prompt query and the BIOS boot menu on startup. The following steps have been attempted to install BIOS releases 0053, and then 0051 when that didn't take.
I first attempted to remedy this automatically with the Intel Driver and Support Assistant. I am prompted that I need a BIOS update, which I downloaded and installed, and after reboot produced a popup saying the BIOS update was success. The BIOS version did not update as confirmed in both windows query and boot menu.
I then did this manually with the windows executable, which rebooted, offered no such popup or error messages, and did not update the BIOS.
I then downloaded the .bio for both, and did a manual F7 install in the boot menu, same result, as well as attempt to boot from flash drive, again same result.
I'm out of ideas. I have been having additional Windows update issues for some time, in case that helps form a possible constellation of issues, but will spare you the prose for now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

NUC 2820 doesn't wake on scheduled time
Hello,
my nuc DN2820FY is running a Windows 8.1 and goes in hibernate mode every night. In the morning it's triggerd to wake up via BIOS (S5 wake) at 8:00 am.
This worked fine for years.
Now I've updated the old BIOS version from 2016 to the new BIOS Version from 03/2018 (FYBYT10H.86A.0063.2018.0314.1612).
Since then the nuc doesn't wake on the scheduled time I've set in the BIOS. But as soon as I try to access a network share of the nuc, it wakes up.
I've tried this, but it doesn't helped: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000020534/mini-pcs.html
Any ideas? Is it a known issue?
Thanks.

Building a nuc for plex server
what do you guys think about
Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing) BLKNUC7i7DNK1E Mini
SAMSUNG 16G 288Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM 2Rx8 DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Laptop Ram Memory
Will have this for plex server multiple transocding possible .
Ram was very limited so im not sure !
NUC7i7BNH & 4K - Did I mess up?
Recently acquired a NUC7i7BNH to fill-in as a light duty Plex server (single stream, mostly direct play).
Win10 Pro
500GB m.2 SSD
2TB HDD
Cat 5 Wired
All seems to be working except when I attempt to use the NUC as a Plex client. I get playback on my 1080p content, but a only black screen (w/audio) for 4K HDR content. The NUC can serve 4K content to my other Plex clients with no complaints (AndroidTV, LGTV, TiVo). Using the NUC as a Plex client/player is my issue. Before purchasing, I had read 4K playback was possible on these devices.
So far, here are my steps:
1. Swapped out HDMI cables, swapped to alternate HDMI Inputs to LGTV 4K TV
2. Updated BIOS to latest v1.72, dated 11/20/2017 (claims to update HDMI 2.0 Firmware)
3. Updated Graphics driver to latest v24.20.100.6025, dated 5/7/2018
Multiple reboots, confirmed the BIOS and drivers updates have "stuck", still getting blank screen with 4K content.
Questions:
1. Did I misunderstand the 4K playback capability of this device?
2. Any other BIOS/Config settings to tweak?
3. Any suggestions to get this NUC working as expected?
Thank you!

Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 compatible with Hades Canyon NUC8i7HVK
Is Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 compatible with Hades Canyon NUC8i7HVK?
The product specs page for 9560 and 8265 I see some differences in connector interface. For Intel 9560: Connector interface: CNVio, for Intel 8265: Connector interface: M.2: PCIe, USB, or UART (M.2 1216 only).
NUC8i7HVK fans speed control - resonating
Is there any possibility to set uneven speed for fans? At some point of speed they start to slightly resonate which cause unnecessary increase of noise. If it goes beyond this speed it is back again more quiet.
I would rather want to avoid stuff like Low Noise Adapters so software/bios control will be better (if possible)
Thanks
VisualBios Does Not See BIO File (NUC8i7HVK1)

NUC8I7HVK - AMD driver keeps crashing
Hello,
I am looking for some assistance to the driver crashing constantly for the AMD RX Vega M. I have the "GH" version of this NUC and have had 6 driver crashes since connecting it on 5/14 to do some light gaming and even watch a few youtube videos.
Attached is one of the events. I did a scan for corrupted files, nothing came back. Integrity scans came back clean as well. Looking for some additional assistance on resolving the issue. All drivers are updated and downloaded per the Intel site. Crash details are below.
