Hello,

What the difference between those Nuc models below?

Intel NUC BOXNUC8I7HVK1

Intel NUC BOXNUC8I7HVK2

Intel NUC BOXNUC8I7HVK3

The place where I want to order my Nuc sells all versions and I don't know which one I should get..

VK2 cost 10 euro cheaper compared to VK1 and VK3 for some reason.

NUC8I7HVK FPS/GPU Usage drops at regular intervals. How do I fix this?

I purchased the nuc a few weeks ago, and I noticed when playing a game it jitters rather annoyingly every 4 seconds or so. I decided to run a controlled benchmark to see if I could notice anything.

Here are my results of the benchmark: https://i.imgur.com/KTP7k8J.png

I ran Unigine Heaven and just stared at a wall so it wouldn't disrupt my FPS. As you can see, every 4 seconds or so, like clockwork my FPS would drop then recover. As you can also see, my GPU Usage would also drop to zero. I have the most updated drivers, I've deleted them and re-installed them, I have no idea what else to do. Does anyone have any ideas here?

Does my NUC5i7RYH Supports 4k @ 60 Hz ? NUC7i7BNH

Hello, i've just got myself a new 4k monitor, sweet, I've connected it to my new NUC7i7BNH with an HDMI - HDMI Cable, and it ran 4K at @ Hz with no problem.
So i know for sure both the cable and the screen supports it.

Now going back to the older NUC5i7RYH, it only lets me run 4k @ 30 Hz through a mDP - DP cable.
also with the mHDMI - HDMI switch - HDMI CABLE, no success.

So i was wondering what could be the problem, does it lack the support to run at 60 Hz at all ? or am i missing something here ?

Latest drivers were installed.

thanks for the help guys!

Mouse cursor disappears

Several months ago, my cursor (not the pointer) began disappearing whenever I was typing in multiple applications, i.e. MS Office (Word, Outlook & Excel), this website, browsing bars on multiple Internet browsers), requiring that I left-click the mouse to restore the cursor.

I believe I can now isolate this issue to the NUC, and not Windows, Logitech or MS Office software.

Is anyone else with a similarly configured NUC experiencing this issue?  All advice welcome.  I will add that Logitech technical support did mention that they had received this issue from others and they thought that it may be a Windows or Office issue, but I can find nothing on Microsoft's board about this issue with a cursory (NPI) search.

Thanks.

I am using a Logitech K350 wireless keyboard & M510 mouse with the Unifying connector and current software Logitech - SetPoint version 6.67.83 (64-bit)This issue does not occur on my Samsung laptop when using the same keyboard, mouse and connector. Note that I have moved the Unifying Connector amongst the USB ports on the NUC.

I believe Windows 10HP 64-bit is up to date,  -

Hotfixes from Microsoft Update (agent version 10.0.17134.48) install automatically.

Last install: 5/28/2018 7:56:30 AM, check: 5/28/2018 7:56:15 AM.

NOTE: (KB4100403) is now being downloaded and installed, with a restart required.  I will do this now and if this issue magically disappears will update this.  It will probably not disappear...

I am fairly certain my NUC BIOS is up to date, although I haven't checked in about a year, so if someone is aware that Intel released anything new in the past few months, please let me know and I'll update it. My current BIOS is WYLPT10H.86A.0045.2017.0302.2108 (installed 3/2/2017)

Hi All,

I have recently purchased NUC7i3DNBE intel board. It is up and working fine. I have used internal power supply connector (12v). Every time to switch on the board, I have to press the power button present on the board. Is it possible that without pressing the power button it should get switch on, I mean to say that if power is available then it should get switch on automatically. Can anyone guide me on this.

Problems with Distributor supplied Team Elite 8Gb DDR4 SoDIMM and BIOS 63

Just letting you all know I just had an issue with the new BIOS 63. The system shipped with 61 and we always upgrade to latest before shipping. BUT.

The system was working perfectly. Immediately after upgrading to 63, the system would take up to 30 seconds to start booting. This is unacceptable to ship to customer. I also saw a weird FV Downgrade message and something failed a few times (could not read it quick enough).

This unit has a single Team Elite 8Gb SoDIMM (DDR4 2133 code TED48G2133C15-S01). I've also tried moving it from the bottom slot to the top.

We normally always use Kingston ValueRAM which never provides an issue but for the last few builds we've used this RAM as it came as a PROMOTION from the Australian Distributor Synnex with the NUC.

This has not provided any issues in the last few builds but obviously the BIOS version of those were pre-63.

This is the first with 63 and the problem has arisen.

Now, I ran a downgrade to 62 and immediately the problem was solved. The NUC starts booting (with Intel logo) within seconds again.

Something in 63 obviously broke compatibility withe the memory (as again, was shipped with the NUC as promotion).

I suggest NOT upgrading to 63 until Intel provide a BIOS without this problem, if you use this memory.

INTEL: Please take note of this. There's an issue with 63 and the RAM provided as a promotion through your distributor. Not good enough.

Does NUC7i5DNHE eDP support Dual Mode?

I need to use the eDP (embedded display port connector) as HDMI instead of Display Port.  The NUC7i5DNHE specification does not indicate if Dual Mode is supported or not. It will greatly simplify the task if Dual Mode is supported. Can you please clarify this?

8i7HVK - rear 3.5mm audio port 'noisy' when Nuc under load, front fine

I've had a nuc 8i7HVK Hades Canyon nuc for a few weeks - and just got some new speakers which I plugged into the rear 3.5mm audio jack.

When the nuc isn't under load the speakers play music without noise (hissing / interference) fine. But when I play a game (Civilization 6), and the nuc is under load - all sorts of audio interference comes out of  the speakers.

When I move the audio plug to the front 3.5mm jack - it works perfectly and the noise is gone.

Is this a design flaw? How can I fix this?

Thanks

Nick

NUC8i7HVK fans speed control - resonating

$

Is there any possibility to set uneven speed for fans? At some point of speed they start to slightly resonate which cause unnecessary increase of noise. If it goes beyond this speed it is back again more quiet.

I would rather want to avoid stuff like Low Noise Adapters so software/bios control will be better (if possible)

Thanks

NUC7i7DNHE - video playback stutters at 1080P or 2160P. Windows 10/Graphics software up to date.

Good evening. I have purchased/installed the new NUC7i7DNHE w/16 GB Crucial Ram PC4-19200 and 1TB Crucial SSD and OS Windows 10. The Windows software is up to date.

The video display Intel UHD 620 has driver version 24.20.100.6025. The internet connection tests at a solid 59-60 MBbit/s as well.

Resolutions tested include 1920 x 1080 and 3840 x 2160 at 60 hz.  Software tested include YouTube TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. Google Chrome web browser is being used.

Please let me know where to dive in from here to get this new equipment working smoothly. The image is crisp/sharp, but is not smooth with stutters. The stuttering is more pronounced when the camera pans.

The same videos will play back smoothly if we take the NUC PC out of the equation.

For example, if my Smart TV streams the software directly, the playback is smooth. Display used is a LG 65" OLED.

thank you.
